The elegant 50-foot black marble bar is a favorite gathering place. Good cheap food. $1.50 beef sandwiches. Usually crowded. No drink specials

Great bar with good, although expensive, drink selection. However, the happy hour food is fantastic and super cheap so it evens out. Get there early to secure a spot at the bar, otherwise it's hard to get your order in.

If you go to a happy hour for cheap food, then this is one of the best happy hours in the city, if not the best. It can be really crowded in the summer or between 4:30 and 6, but get there right at 3:30 and you are golden. If you want a couple of drinks with your food, then the deal doesn't seem nearly as good. There is only one beer special and it is hardly ever special. This is one of the only places that has Mac n' Jacks IPA on draught. If you are really hungry, then this is the spot for an early dinner. Otherwise, drinks are much cheaper elsewhere and you are more likely to find a seat.
